Eating out is not just about food anymore, it’s about the complete experience. That is where, hotels like Renaissance create experience for you and an experience is a great experience if it has a perfect combination of Food, ambiance, service, decor and value for money. My recent visit to Fratelli Fresh at Renaissance, Powai was indeed a good one!
The food spread at Fratelli Fresh was undoubtedly one of the biggest spreads I have seen.
All kinds of cheese was available- cheddar, mozzarella, emmental, greek feta, gouda, blue, brie, cream, monterey jack, parmesan. I couldn’t taste every cheese but I tried Cheddar and it was the way suppossed to be- slightely hard and off white.
What I really liked in the first round was the Caramalised Onion focaccias. The bread was fresh and the onions weren’t really forced into it. I also liked the garlic baguette bread- chewy, buttery and garlic.
My round 2 was all non vegetarian food. I tried the roasted lamb leg which was strangely not cooked properly. My roasted chicken was just perfectly done.
Apologies for the poor click.
Everybody except me wanted to skip the main course and have desserts only and as soon as I discovered the dessert section, I understood why!
Pistacho Religious was an interesting dessert to have.
I liked the passion fruit cream tart while others were just high on chocolate section.
My favorite of all desserts was Tiramisu. This dessert is only meant for Coffee Lovers. Take a spoon full of Tiramisu and your mouth is all filled with cream and coffee. A blissful moment.
Fratelli Fresh has spectacular interiors. The dining area is spread out into a large lobby and the aroma is nothing but Italian.
We did meet the Chef Christian and were lucky enough to witness Ram Indrail Kamath’s glass paintings on “Indian Mythology”.
This event was an invitation from FBAI for R Art Series and the meal was complimentary. It shouldn’t be considered as Restaurant review.
