Blue Nile- A note worthy restaurant in Pune

Before going out for Blue Nile, I researched extensively on best biryani and Mughlai food in Pune. I came across very few places which focus on just food. Now-a-days, We tend to look out for places which serve both “drinks and food”. Gone are the days when we would hunt for good food only. A place like Blue Nile makes you believe that such a restaurant still exists. To reword, such an experience still exists.
You enter into the restaurant and the architecture is still the same. Everything around and inside the place has a vintage vibe. The tables, service and the food still carry that feel.

Blue Nile Interiors High On Food

With in five minutes, starters were served and we began on our gastronomical voyage.

Mutton Seekh Kebab

The first item that we ordered was Mutton Seekh Kabab. Fresh from the seekh and quick on the table, thick mutton kebabs were gulped within seconds.

Chicken Tandoori

I feel one must order tandoori in such restaurant because it tells you the quality of their food especially tandoori items. This has to the best I have consumed in last couple of months. Tender, grilled and juicy chicken accompanied with the green chutney was finished too within seconds.

Mutton Biryani Blue Nile High On Food

Aromatic Mutton Biryani

Chicken Biryani

To my biggest surprise, this was the first time that a biryani was served without raita. Some of you might feel shocked. We cannot really do anything about it but to order it separately because it was a well cooked aromatic biryani. There was no red-green-purple colored rice; there was just the basic biryani color. I believe the fancy stuff doesn’t go with biryani. A good four to five tender pieces of mutton/chicken were inside it. If I have to choose between the two biryanis, I would choose the mutton one simply because I have an affinity for mutton.

Caramel Custard

I could only find bliss and nothing else. A wafer on side was a little surprise though but a perfect end to such a luscious meal.
Extra and Important Information:
Service was lightning quick and the service staff was well behaved.
